One of my favorite lattes of all time, and it's so easy at home with Trader Joe's Instant Cold Brew! It's a perfect transition drink from winter to spring - with lots of floral tastes in the rose but also a warm taste of cardamom. Plus nothing is better than a rose drink in February. <3
As you know by now, I owned a coffee shop (and therefore trained as a barista) for two years. One of my favorite things about the job was creating new drinks with the team, and this idea was inspired from a couple local coffee shops on a trip to the east coast... so I had to re-create it!
You can of course do this with a couple shots of espresso, but I like this twist to make it easier to do at home - Trader Joe's Instant Cold Brew! If you know about this stuff, you know it's gold. If you don't know about it... it's worth a trip navigating those crazy aisles at Trader Joe's to stock up!
So here we go!
Ingredients:
🌹 Trader Joe's Instant Cold Brew
🌹 Ground Cardamom
🌹 Milk (or Alternate)
🌹 Dried Rose Petals (optional*)
Note: It may seem silly to purchase an entire bag of dried rose petals, but know that you can use them in LOTS of different ways throughout the season (in baking, in playdough, in a sensory table, or in the bath!).
Instructions:
🌹 Fill your glass halfway up with cold water.
🌹 Add (at least) a heaping teaspoon of Trader Joe's instant cold brew.
🌹 Add two pinches of cardamom.
🌹 Add a short pour of Monin rose syrup.
🌹 Whisk or stir to blend.
🌹 Fill the rest of the way with cold milk.
🌹 Garnish with rose petals.
🌹 Enjoy!
