The easiest and best St Patty's Day treat recipes! We have two St Patty's treats - a shamrock pretzel cupcakes and St Patty's pancakes. These are super simple holiday recipes that are all about the decorations!
funfetti clover cupcakes
what you'll need:
1 box of funfetti cupcake mix (you only need water, oil and eggs to bake these)
1 can of pillsbury frosting
white chocolate chips (less than a cup)
green food coloring
pretzels
toothpicks
edible gold edible glitter (we used this one)
lucky charm marshmallows (yes, you have to pick them out of the cereal lol)
instructions:
Bake the cupcakes as described on the package.
While the cupcakes are baking, get your toppings ready!
For the pretzel shamrocks:
Melt the white chocolate chips.
Then add 1 drop at a time of green food coloring until you get the shade of green you're looking for.
Lay out a piece of parchment paper.
Dip the bottom of 3 pretzels into the melted green chocolate, and then while it's still wet, stick the three dipped pretzels together in the shape of a clover. Lay it the finished clover on a piece of parchment paper. While still wet, add a toothpick stem (this is so our clovers stand on our cupcakes). Spread a little more green chocolate on top so everything is secured together. Let the chocolate harden (it will take about 30 minutes).
For the frosting, if you want to be fancy, you can prep the premade frosting and put it into a ziplock bag with a piping tip.
Once the cupcakes are baked and fully cooled, put all this toppings on!
And there you have it - a super easy and adorable St Patty's dessert!
lucky green pancakes!
These are not your normal pancakes! Well... actually, they are - just dressed up for St. Patty's day!
what you’ll need:
pancake mix (we used Kodiak)
green food coloring
whipped cream
lucky charms cereal marshmallow
instructions:
Make pancake batter according to box instructions.
Add green food coloring drop by drop until you get the desired color.
Put your mold into the pan and pour a little batter in. Cook each pancake on low to low/medium so as not to burn (as it will lead to discoloration!).
Add whipped cream, then gold glitter, then your Lucky Charms marshmallows
And that is a wrap on our St. Patrick's Day treats!
