Seriously. These are the absolute best Halloween breakfast ideas!
We love spooky season, so we have a lot of practice cooking up spooky treats, and these are the best of the best!
Skull Egg English Muffin
This little man went viral last year (my only true viral creation to date), and it's no wonder! It's cute, easy, and a (relatively) well-balanced breakfast that can be taken on-the-go!
what you'll need:
English muffins
Olive oil or butter
Eggs
Tear out a small hole in the middle of your English muffin. Put the bread on the Dash, and then
crack an egg in the hole. Close and cook until the light goes out... and ta da!
Ghosty Yogurt Parfait
It may look fancy on the plate, but I promise... if I can do it, anyone can do it!
what you'll need:
Greek yogurt
Blueberries
Granola (with raisins)
Honey (optional)
Spoon a glop (maybe 3 small scoops) of the yogurt in the top left corner. Use the back of the spoon to carefully drag down the yogurt toward the bottom right corner. Work slowly, and feel free to use your finger to correct if the ghost needs a little shaping! :) Use raisins for the eyes and a blueberry for the mouth. Spread granola along the bottom as the ground!
Wienie Mummies, Egg-white Ghost, and Pumpkin Pancakes
We pulled out all the stops for this one!
what you'll need:
Trader Joes Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancake Mix
Eggs
Mozzarella (or any white cheese)
Mummies: Take one-half of a crescent triangle, and roll it out in your hands. Use the rope-like dough to wrap a mini sausage several times. Repeat for all the sausages. Before you cook them, you can move the dough a bit to make space for the eyes. They'll need to cook a little longer than the package says, but just watch to grab them when they're golden. Make a little more space for the eyes after cooking, and then either leave them as-is or add a super tiny piece of raisin to make two eyes!
Pancakes: Make the pancakes according to the box. Then use a knife to cut out jack-lantern shapes, and use a piece of butter for the stem.
Ghost: Mix egg whites and mozzarella in a bowl. Use butter or oil to prep your Ghost Dash, and then add just enough egg to fill the ghost portion of the waffle iron. When the light turns off, you'll have a little mini cheesy egg ghost!
We had this as 'breakfast for dinner' and the kids LOVED it!! Enjoy!
